During the summer months when I have some extra time, I like to pick up babysitting and house sitting jobs to make a little extra cash. So when I saw an ad for a babysitter in the neighborhood app, I responded. It sounded like easy money to me. Luckily it was an older boy. They didn’t care if I took him to run errands with me or whatever I wanted to do for the day. Just as long as he was being watched and wasn’t alone. So it was perfect. I did have errands to run. And I needed to go by the mall for some shoes to go with the vintage dress that I’m wearing to my friend’s bohemian themed wedding. 

So we set off on our journey. Jeremy was really shy and quiet. I tried to chit chat with him. But he didn’t say much. We spent the morning running errands then it was finally time to hit the mall. But I was starving so I knew he had to be too. So we headed towards the food court.

My neighbor asked me to babysit her little boy for the day. He was home from school because it was a school holiday. It worked out perfectly since I didn’t have class either. I thought it would be easy to watch a boy that age. He would probably just watch tv or play videogames the whole time. I mean, I was right about that. He did say he just wanted to play on the computer. So I let him sit at my desk on my computer while I studied for finals. I could tell he was acting kind of weird. But it took me a while to realize that his pants were soaking wet. I couldn’t believe a boy of his age wetting himself. When I asked him if he had an accident, he denied it. That made me even more mad. It wasn’t enough that he ruined my office chair but now he was lying to me. I’d had enough. I sternly told him to go into the restroom and take his wet clothes off. Meanwhile, I went to the closet and grabbed a diaper, some wipes, baby powder, and diaper rash cream.

The sun is shining, the plants are blooming, and Danika’s Garden of Delights is now open for playtime! What kind of play goes on here? Well, I suppose that depends on what strikes your fancy. Perhaps you want to put on a onesie and feel the grass on your little toesies. Or maybe you want to get on your hands and knees to see what is up my sundress. I picked out the prettiest pink cotton panties to wear just for you today! I’ll layout a blanket for us, so we can get cozy and spend the day together in pure bliss.

Today was an exciting day that my sweet little one had been waiting on for ages. Today Princess Tami Goes Shopping with mommy. With spring time here, and warm weather wanting us to get out of the house, we set off to get Princess Tami a few new dresses. This time of year brings out all of the pastels, and there were plenty of pink and purple frilly dresses to try on. The magic baby shop I found also has the most adorable designs for their diaper covers, as well as adorable cloth diapers! I just knew my Princess Tami was going to have so much fun today!

With mountains of dresses to try on, I held her cute little hand as I led the way to the fitting rooms. I was in awe of how spacious the dressing room was. Downy pink carpet covered the floor, the walls were lined with gilded mirrors, and the bench cushions were plush and velvety. It was the perfect place for Princess Tami to try on all of her beautiful dresses!

I was having a grand time shopping the other day when I came across a store I had never seen before. Babies & More it read in soft pastel letters arched above the entryway. I expected to walk in and find a candy shop; but what I found instead was even more delightful. Plush carpet welcomed me to a perfectly decorated interior that was designed just for little ones. I gravitated to a shelf loaded with diaper cream, bubble bath, lotions, and Hypnotic Baby Powder.

Grabbing the bottle, I take a closer look at the label. On the surface it looks like a standard bottle of baby powder. The same white plastic exterior, the pale pink shaker on top. It was turning over the bottle, and reading the back, did I start to truly understand what Hypnotic Baby Powder actually was. I felt a wicked grin take over my face as I loaded my basket with every bottle they had on the shelf. I couldn’t wait to get home and stash my find…

It’s been a crazy week at Mommy Julie’s Daycare. Daylight savings time has really affected the little ones. Their sleep patterns have been so messed up. They don’t feel sleepy at night when it’s so sunny and bright out. I had to get some light blocking curtains for the nap room. They’ve all been oversleeping in the morning. So that’s made them late to daycare. That really throws off the whole schedule. It’s nearly impossible to get my own little ones to adjust their schedules when all of my daycare little ones are so out of whack. Even their diaper schedules are off. Why do they still have to do these stupid time changes? I’m so over them already! I had everyone on a perfect schedule. Now it’s total chaos. They are going at all different times. So I’m just doing diaper after diaper at sporadic times. And their diapers have been awful too. Like the most stinky explosions I’ve ever seen or smelled. I had to go to the wholesale store to stock up on diapers, wipes, gloves, masks, diaper rash cream, powder, and oil. I’ve never done so many diaper changes a day in my entire life.

I wouldn’t call myself mommy, but sometimes The Sweet Little ones I babysit call me that. I can tell their real mommy’s don’t care for it, but I am great at my job, so they seem to end up ignoring it for the most part. That being said, I took on a Sweet Little one whose real mommy didn’t seem to mind one bit! In fact, she seemed thrilled that he was now clinging to me so she could go on her dates, undisturbed. Secure in knowing her Sweet Little was being cared for.

I soon discovered what a handful this one was! Always trying to run away, or “talk” back. I could’ve sworn I had the patience of a saint, but I was constantly having my buttons pushed, and I knew I was going to have to think of a plan! As a well rounded, intelligent young lady, I considered myself to be reasonable and patient. So I took to parenting books to figure out how to handle this Sweet Little one, who was determined to run me ragged. Until one day, something irreversible and interesting took place…

I’m a new volunteer today. Want to know what I’m volunteering for? Diaper Daycare! Once a month the local daycare sponsors our lovely adult babies and they all get together in their favorite diaper brands and crawl around like the little toddlers they are. This little guy, Mike, told me he loves when I play detective and pick out the smelliest little one and embarrass them in front of everyone. I’m going to take pictures so I can get with my girlfriends and laugh about it later.

I walked into the center of the room as I watched all the little ones crawl around me. Everyone was so cute skedaddling around in their little Pampers and Luvs. There was the cute little boy sitting in the corner of the room sucking on his little paci. He had little blonde curls and was playing with some toys.

Danny Washes Mama's Car

This weekend was a beautiful eighty degrees! The sun was out most of the day, and I knew it was time for Danny to wash Mama’s car. All that road salt and gunk from the winter just had to be cleaned off so we could say goodbye to winter for good.

I pulled the car out of the garage and parked it in the center of the driveway. Right where all the neighbors could see my hard-working baby boy do his chores. Then I pulled out a little lawn chair so I could watch the show too. What show, you might be asking? Well, Danny isn’t like other Mama’s boys. He’s tall and sexy with sculpted muscles all over! And he wears a secret diaper under his shorts!
