I’ve always been bad at managing money. I constantly overspend and never budget well, but this has gotten me into a pickle this time—one I’m not sure I can get myself out of. My landlord has been hounding me for the rent since Friday, but I spent all Christmas shopping.
Sunday morning, I was just lounging on the couch in my satin pj set while online shopping when I heard a key in the front door. My gaze snapped up to the door just in time for it to open, and there he stood. My landlord. And he looked mad. “The Rent is past due, Kayla.” He slammed the door behind him, making me jump. “You either give it to me no,w, or you get the fuck out.”
