Mommy Anna was on the phone with her lover. It was the only time she got to talk to him as Daddy was working late and she longed for these phone calls every week. She would talk to him and wrap her finger around the telephone cord as she smoked and signed and giggled. Most times in her bedroom. But it had become such a routine that she had gotten away with, she began to be completely and utterly brazen about it – going as far as talking to her lover on the kitchen phone while smoking at the kitchen table.
