Lost In The Big City

The other night, I dreamed I was lost in a big city. I’ve never really been to a city like the one in my dream, but it was late at night, yet the street lights made it brighter than the day. Neon signs flashed from windows, and crowds filled the street as I tried to figure out where I was and where I needed to go.

I felt so scared and unsure. I spun this way and that, and nothing looked familiar. Not the people around me or the street signs. Knowing I couldn’t just stand in one place, I picked a direction and started to walk. Big, calloused hands grabbed my elbows and pulled me towards an alley. Whoever grabbed me was wearing a hat pulled low over their face, and I couldn’t make out a single feature.
