Aunty Has a Dick

After the madness of the holidays, life seems to settle back into place. Which means my Mother wants to shake things up. I couldn’t say no when invited to the family gathering this weekend. They rented a big enough house where everyone would have their own room at the end of the day.

After listening to all the offensive and rude back and forth my loving family would have in my presence, I’d need my own space. After listening to them argue over which bathroom I should be allowed to use and if women like me should be allowed to participate in sports or not, I needed a way to release some tension before I said things I’d regret. Aunty A having a dick still isn’t cool with everyone who claims to love me.

I Swear We Didn't Know

At the end of the summer, my family always has this big get-together at my aunt’s lake house. It’s kind of like a reunion; I mean, everyone comes from out of town, and all of us cousins get to play games on the water. We paddle board and waterski, along with a ton of other activities, and eat a ton of food. Every year, there seem to be more people I’d never met before. As if our family just keeps expanding! As much as I complain about going yearly, I always have a lot of fun.

This year was different; I swear we didn’t know we were related until my dad introduced us, and by the look on my half-brother’s face, he didn’t expect his first family reunion to go this way either.
