But he was getting bored and impatient and decided he had heard enough, Ronnie didn’t know that he had to disconnect the call to make a new call, so he simply began pushing buttons on the phone which interrupted Mommy Anna’s conversation with her lover. ‘’Is that you?’’ her lover said ‘’Pushing those buttons?!’’ ‘’No,’’ said Anna. ‘’I thought it was you’’ But it was too late, Mommy Anna knew exactly who it was, she immediately hung up and marched downstairs.
Ronnie hid underneath the couch. He knew what was coming next. ‘’Ronnie, where are you?!’’ she said. ‘’Come out now!’’ But he stayed silent. ‘’Ronnie, I’m going to count to ten, and if you’re not out by the time I….’’ Unfortunately, Ronnie had forgotten to hang up the phone, and still had it in his hand underneath the couch, and mommy heard the loud busy tone one hears when they leave the dial tone too long without punching a number: ‘’Beeep beeep beeep beeep….’’ Mommy lifted the couch skirt. She was going to punish Ronnie worse than he had ever been punished before…
