I’m not always a bad girl. Sometimes I like to sit quietly and listen to sounds that make me feel good. But, have you ever noticed that some sounds are more satisfying than others? Like how a foreign accent can give you chills or a soft scratching noise can make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up? That’s kind of what ASMR is. It’s listening to an array of sounds that make you feel good, almost as if you’re getting a brain massage. Sometimes they give you goosebumps and other times, they can just help you fully relax.
One of my favorite ASMR sounds is when I whisper so softly that you have to lean into the phone to hear me. When I’m speaking to you like this, I know I have your absolute focus. Every nerve ending in your body is straining to listen to what I’m cooing in your ear. Every now and then, you need to slow down and take a break.
