Mr. Gavin came waddling in the room while I was babysitting. There were already eight to ten little ones running around the room. (Will I get in trouble if I said I lost count?) Well, Gavin was my favorite and he knew it. His favorite thing to do was make a mess in his diaper and blame it on everyone else. He loved when I had to sniff him out and chase him down and corner him. He was such a little brat.
Well, I was already running behind, and he thought it would be cute to do his messy business and then pull on my pants leg for my attention. Everyone seemed to get the memo that it was messy time and I had way too many messy diapers to clean at once and it was too overwhelming. I lost my mind and screamed at little Gavin and said, “You’d better watch your fucking mouth in front of me you little brat. Mommy’s not playing with you today after the stunt you just pulled.”
You Can Stay in That Diaper
I knew the perfect punishment for little Gavin and all the other little ones. I was NOT changing the diaper today, but I refused. They could sit around in their messy diapers and think about what they had done. I know some little ones love to sit in their mess and squish around and play. It was warm and squishy. I knew their moms were going to love me at the end of the day. (Insert sarcasm.)
Maybe they could make pretty little finger paintings for their mommies. I’m just the babysitter, after all. What do I know? I know parents love when their kiddies make them art. I sure do hope that these little ones return to my next group daycare session. Extra diapers will be on hand, and they won’t know what hit them. Poor little Gavin.
